Volunteer opportunities perfect for Douglas County 4-H kids

DC 4-H members, the Castle Rock Care Center is in need of help and has several volunteer opportunities available. I've noticed senior citizens love to interact with young people. Please see their posting below for details.

"Castle Rock Care Center is an 85 bed skilled nursing facility located in Castle Rock. We currently have a variety of volunteer opportunities within the Activity Department. We need volunteers to decorate our bulletin boards monthly and assist us with decorating the facility for various holidays. We are also in the process of developing some scrapbooks and could use some creative people to help with this task. We could also use several volunteers to assist a few of our bingo players on Sundays and come join our Monday socials to converse with the residents.

We have a volunteer opportunity for you, so if you are creative, love to decorate or enjoy soicalizing, come in and fill out a volunteer application. Once that is complete we will assist you with the volunteer orientation so that you can begin to volunteer with us! The residents love to see volunteers come in and would love to meet you, socialize with you, and assist you with the decorating.

If this is something that you may be interested in, contact us at activities@castlerockcarecenter.com, or call the activities department and leave a message for Karen @ (303) 688-3174 or simply just stop in and ask to fill out a volunteer application!"
